Executive impersonation | This news story, from HR Grapevine today, explains how an employee from LastPass was targeted with Deepfake voicemails and messages from the CEO. In this case the employee was aware enough to realise the timing, urgency and communication channels used by the 'deepfake CEO' felt suspicious. Whilst there was no data breach, LastPass wanted to share the incident to raise awareness of executive impersonation online. For me, it raises a question about employee and executive awareness around #GenAI including the digital risks that come with it. Deep selling vs shallow selling | A new playbook from LinkedIn talks about the behaviours and habits of salespeople that focus their effort vs those that don't, and the results are compelling. Here's my summary 👇🏼 𝗗𝗘𝗘𝗣 𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗟𝗬: 🔬 Prioritize high potential accounts. 🎯 Identify and build key buyer relationships. 📰 Find hidden allies and timely intel for relevant outreach. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗧: 📈 Deep sellers are nearly 2x more likely to exceed their quota than shallow sellers (shallow sellers are more than 6x more likely to miss theirs). 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗗𝗘𝗘𝗣 𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗗𝗢 𝗗𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗟𝗬: 🔎 62% deep sellers use AI & intel to identify white space in accounts. (compared to 15% of shallow sellers). 🔎 61% of deep sellers do more research before outreach than a year ago. (compared to 13% of shallow sellers). 🔎 51% of deep sellers utilise warm outreaches. (compared to 39% of shallow sellers) And yet against the backdrop of these behaviours and results, it transpires that only 18% of salespeople are deep sellers!
